Hyatt Regency Lost Pines is one of our favorite family resort in Austin due to the gorgeous property, upscale rooms, and many many things to do! Just about a half hour from downtown, Lost Pines feels hundreds of miles from the city – truly the perfect escape without the hassle!
Located on over 400 acres, Hyatt Regency Lost Pines is a beautiful escape into nature with the added bonus of luxuries such as a spa, golf course, and delicious on site restaurants.
This family-friendly resort boasts a lazy river under the trees, waterslide, splash pad, and year-round heated pool as some of the highlights of the property. Outdoors you will also find complimentary bike rentals, tennis and basketball courts, lawn games such as cornhole and horseshoes, and a huge lawn for outdoor movies on the weekends.
Seasonal activities are offered each days such as craft kits for kits, inflatable obstacle courses, face painting, and more. Our children spent many hours playing pool and shuffleboard inside the game rooms when they needed a break from water play.
Extra excursions are offered for an additional price including horse back riding, ziplining, archery, and more.
We LOVED the complimentary s’mores kits handed out each evening for fun around the giant fireplace! Keep your eye out for the raccoon we spotted looking for stray marshmallows!
One bummer is that the lazy river is not heated year-round. The pool is, but if you are visiting in the off-season, the lazy river will be quite chilly. The waterslide also only operates seasonally.
Rooms range from king bed rooms that sleep two to family suites that sleep six. Our family of five loves the extra space that the suite offers, including a full bedroom with a door and dining table for snacks and sometimes breakfast in the room. We had a rollaway bed delivered which gave us even more sleeping space and everyone was happy!
