The festival offers a wide variety of family-friendly activities, including a pumpkin patch where you can pick out the perfect pumpkin for carving or baking. You can also take a hayride through the beautiful countryside, explore the farm animals, and enjoy many fun attractions such as the corn maze, a giant jumping pillow, and a cow train ride.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also take a ride on the mini zip line or challenge your friends to a race in the round hay rollers. And when it’s time for a break, head over to grab some fresh squeezed lemonade and kettle corn. Don’t miss out on this authentic farm experience at Western Belle – though it is a couple hours away from us, you can be sure that we’ll be there this Fall!

Stick horses, pedal tractors, corn mazes, oh my! Lone Star Family Farm is filled to the brim with incredible activities to bring out the child in you again!

This Texas pumpkin patch grows a huge crop of pumpkins to choose from, and grows an amazing corn field maze too! Take a tour of the cotton field, pause for photos in the sunflowers, play a round of corn hold, and then stop by the pig races before you leave. Plan to spend the entire day as you won’t run out of activities here!

The farm also features a wooden milk cow for children to milk, providing an interactive and educational experience.

Maxwell’s Pumpkin Farm is also home to Maxwell’s Market, where visitors can browse a variety of locally-sourced products, including fresh produce, honey, jams, and more – promise me you won’t leave without the Caramel Corn Nuggets!

The Texas Pumpkin Fest in Leander, Texas is conveniently located and the perfect spot for a quick fall day trip to a Texas pumpkin patch. This exciting festival has something for everyone, from active sports games and boutique shopping booths featuring handmade goods to countless picture-perfect photo opportunities and, of course, a giant selection of pumpkins.

Children can enjoy a variety of games and have plenty of room to run around. And for those looking for an exciting experience, the festival’s pumpkin smashing activity is a must-try, even if it does come at an additional cost.

Graff 7A Ranch

Your first stop at Graff 7A Ranch might just have to be the Apple Cannons. These are not your average fruit launchers – you’ll have a blast aiming and firing these cannons at targets across their open fields.

There are all kinds of games and activities scattered throughout the ranch – from gaga ball pits to tether ball to barrel trains and slides – you’ll never run out of things to do here! Whatever you do, don’ t miss their epic corn maze. I am also a huge fan of their family-sized, wooden porch swing!

For an extra special treat, rent a campfire (super reasonably priced!) and gather around with friends and family to roast marshmallows and tell stories under the stars. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a long day of apple cannon blasting!

Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival

For a fun-filled fall festival in the Austin area, be sure to check out the Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival! Held every autumn at the historic 1854 Dr. Pound Farmstead, this festival draws visitors from all around. As a Texas State Historical Landmark, the farmstead provides a picturesque backdrop for all the autumn activities that the festival has to offer. We visited on a weekday and it was pretty empty with plenty of space to run around and explore. Only the lemonade stand was open (not the other food booths), so prepared with snacks if you attend then, but plan on getting lemonade – it was delicious!

Enjoy a variety of activities, including tire swings, yard games, barrel rides, and an art area. Take advantage of the perfect photo opportunities scattered throughout the festival too – they are SO cute!

Be warned, though, giant skeletons tower over visitors, providing a spooky touch to the farmstead. With a variety of pumpkins for sale, you can find the perfect one to take home with you. With the addition of face painting and balloon artists entertaining kids of all ages, the Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival is sure to be a highlight of your fall season.

Sweet Berry Farm – our favorite Texas pumpkin patch!

One of our favorite pumpkin patches in Texas is the Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls, Texas – a much-loved destination for fall festivities with so many activities to keep you busy all day. Enjoy a scenic tour of the farm with their hayrides, and don’t miss the chance to get lost in one of the best corn mazes in Texas! For a festive decoration, take your pick of pumpkins, and for a fun hand-crafted souvenir, try their Sand Art.

In addition to the incredible pumpkin patch, visitors can also wander through the farm’s vibrant flower fields and pick their own zinnias! They are very reasonably priced, make for a lovely photo backdrop, and will make for the perfect fall bouquet to take with you.

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm is a beloved family favorite that we will never get bored of visiting. It’s not just about pumpkins and hayrides here. Visitors can also indulge in face painting, explore the corn maze, interact with farm animals, and participate in fun activities such as duck races and tire mountains.

As my children grow older, they still find Sweet Eats exciting, especially when tackling one of the best corn mazes in Texas in the dark, followed by renting a firepit to enjoy hot dogs and s’mores, and ending the night with weekend fireworks.

At one of the best pumpkin patches in Texas, you can also enjoy a range of tasty fall treats, including apple cider donuts and kettle corn. You can also pick your own seasonal produce, including pumpkins and vegetables. While admission to just the pumpkin patch and vegetable gardens is free (produce is charged per pound), the other activities require a flat-rate admission ticket.

Be sure to purchase tickets online before heading to the farm to save a few dollars per ticket! Also, note that lines can be long on weekends, so try visiting on a weekday or arrive early to avoid the crowds.
