There are many fun photo spots throughout the festival grounds, and a large selection of all kinds of pumpkins, of course. Several games are available for children with a lot of space to run around. One of the most exciting activities at the festival is pumpkin smashing, but just be prepared to pay extra for the opportunity.

Indian Spring Ranch Pumpkin Patch

Indian Spring Ranch Pumpkin Patch offers a fun-filled day for visitors to pick out the perfect pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and take advantage of the unique fall-themed photo-ops throughout the property.

Jersey Barnyard Pumpkin Patch offers a wide selection of pumpkins and fall décor for visitors to choose from. In addition to traditional Jack o’ lanterns, the farm also offers specialty pumpkins, gourds, ceramic pumpkins, and mums to help decorate for the season.

The Frerichs family invites visitors to tour their 100-year-old Jersey dairy farm where visitors can pet the animals, watch the chickens, and enjoy some ice cream while learning about farming and agriculture from the family.

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm – best pumpkin patch in Austin!

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm is a personal family favorite and one we love to return to again and again. From pumpkins to enjoying hayrides and face painting to cute photo spaces, visitors can also explore the corn maze, visit with farm animals, and take part in fun activities like the duck races and tire mountain.

As my kiddos get older, sometimes pumpkin patches don’t quite hold the allure that they used to – but not Sweet Eats! Try the huge corn maze (one of Texas’ best corn mazes!) in the dark, rent a firepit and roast hot dogs and smores, and then stay for weekend fireworks! It truly is fun for the whole family!

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm (one of Georgetown’s best things to do) also offers plenty of delicious fall treats, including apple cider donuts and kettle corn, as well as a variety of seasonal produce that you can pick yourself! Access to the pumpkin patch and veggie gardens is free with produce charged per pound, and other activities require an advance admission ticket.

Pro tip! Purchase tickets online before arriving at the farm to save a few dollars each! Also, lines on the weekends can be very long…go on a weekday if you can, or plan to arrive early or late. Late morning and afternoon are the busiest.

Jenschke Orchards

Jenschke Orchards’ pumpkin patch is the perfect fall activity near Austin in Hill Country! This farm has amazing activities to offer all year round, like strawberry picking in spring, peach picking in the summer, and Christmas tree fun in winter.

In fall, guests can hop on a wagon ride that takes them through the orchard and pumpkin patch, where they can pick their own pumpkins to take home. While there, they can also enjoy the petting zoo, pony rides, and cowboy roping. For those who love a challenge, the giant corn maze and tile maze will keep them entertained, as well as the tug-o-war and barnyard basketball. Kids will have a blast jumping on the Texas-size jumpy pillow, playing in the corn box, and trying their hand at corn hole. And don’t forget to stop by the bubble station and Peach Mountain before you leave!
