Sunflowers, zinnias, poppies, and more! If there is one thing Texas is good at, besides BBQ, live music, and breakfast tacos of course, it’s the beautiful flower farms in Texas that offer visitors a gorgeous place to visit and explore.

While Texas bluebonnets will always get the most attention, when they fade away in April each spring, visitors and locals flock to the hillsides to discover the new varieties of wildflowers covering the landscape.

Texas flower fields explode all spring and summer with plenty of opportunities to walk the rows of flower farms and usually pick your own flowers to take home with you. As soon as spring hits each year, my family knows that I am going to load them up to go exploring as many flower fields as we can! We visit Sweet Berry Farm and Sweet Eats Fruit farm throughout the year regularly, love to spend Mother’s Day at Wildseed Farms, and count the days to the sunflower festivals each summer!

Central Texas Flower Farms

Sweet Berry Farm

Sweet Berry Farm plants rows of beautiful flowers for visitors to enjoy throughout the year among other fun activities like a jumpy pillow, barrel train and the sweetest goats to feed.

Spring: Tulips and Ranunculus are blooming and available for U-pick. This is also the perfect time to pick your own strawberries on the adjacent field.

Summer: A Texas sunflower field takes over the flower patch giving visitors the perfect place to snap some gorgeous summer photos in the sunshine and pick their own stems.

Fall: Zinnias are the fall flower crop at Sweet Berry Farm and also available for picking. Sometimes if the weather is just right, a fall strawberry picking is also available, as well as one of the the sweetest pumpkin patches near Austin.

Arnosky Family Farm

At Arnosky Family Farms, you will find the beautiful Blue Barn Market open daily throughout the year. Flowers are pre-picked and displayed in the barn available for purchase on the honor system. Pick out a gorgeous bouquet or two and drop your cash or check in the red cash box before leaving.

Bonus! Farm fresh eggs, vegetables, herb plants, and local goat cheese are also available in the Blue Barn too!

Spring: Spring brings loads of flower varieties to Arnosky Family Farms including dianthus, ranunculus, lilies, peonies, and anemones among many other spring blooms.

Summer: Peonies, Bougainvilleas, and sunflowers take over the summer scene at the Blue Barn.

Fall: This farm is the Marigold Capital of Texas and you will have to see them to believe it! Such gorgeous fall color all wrapped up in a bouquet from this Texas flower farm.

Winter: Pointsettias fill the blue barn each winter! These festive flowers are a perfect for the holiday seanon. Late winter brings lots of color to the flower farm with anemones, ranunculus, and lilies.

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm

This family-friendly farm offers plenty more than flowers, such as pig races, ziplines, petting zoos, apple cannons and more, but one of the best parts is their gorgeous flower farm!

Spring: Their spring flower festival lasts from late April – late May and boasts over 60 varieties of flowers in their fields for enjoying and picking your own flower bouquets. Live music, BBQ cookoffs, crawfish boils, and an amazing “flower house” are icing on the cake.

Summer: Late June kicks off their annual Central Texas Sunflower Festival! 6.5 acres of flowers complete with a yellow sunflower fields and colorful sunflower fields, with built-in sunflower rooms for photography with props.

Wildseed Farms is the largest working wildflower farm in the country – and one of texas’ best local flower farms near you! Acres of wildflowers are available for viewing on the walking path, photographing in the designated rows for exploring, and plenty of benches under the trees to picnic will encourage you to stay awhile.

The gift shop at Wildseed Farms is the cutest with plenty of wildflower seeds for sale to plant some of your own flowers. Grab a snack or ice cream or enjoy a wine tasting as well.

Admission to one of the prettiest flower farms in Texas is free! One of the best things to do in the hill country is see the red poppies here in April or the cosmos in May. Wander the butterfly garden year round or photograph the bluebonnets here in March.

Western Belle Family Farm

Western Belle Family Farm is an adorable, rustic, active farm ready to provide you with a whole day of family fun. Their admission fee covers many activities such as slides, bubble activities, farm animals, tractor rides, and so much more.

In Spring and Fall, their 5 acre Texas flower farm come alive with gorgeous sunflowers and zinnias ready for photo opportunities and U-pick bouquets. One of the best parts of this farm are the adorable photo spots such as swings, benches, and tractors. Follow them on Instagram for flower updates.

Bloomer’s Garden & Wild Flower Farm

Bloomer’s Garden offers a gorgeous sunflower garden as well as a pick your own flower farm with Texas zinnias. With a stunning array of sunflowers, zinnias, and other colorful blooms, visitors can also look forward to Mexican sunflowers, calendula, and cosmos. Flower updates can be found here.

No visit to Bloomer’s Garden is complete without a stop at the GIANT sunflower patch, where visitors can enjoy the towering blooms that stretch up to 12 feet tall. Professional photographers need a photography pass, but visitors can feel free to take as many of their own photos as they’d like in the flower farms.

In addition to the vibrant blooms, Bloomer’s Garden also offers a unique U-pick experience, with fresh blackberries and blueberries available in June. Containers are provided for picking, making it easy to gather a delicious harvest of juicy berries.

While the sunflower garden may be limited, visitors can still enjoy a dazzling display of autumnal blooms, as well as a range of fun activities and attractions, including a corn maze, hayrides, and a Texas pumpkin patch.

As spring turns into summer, the focus shifts to the farm’s juicy blackberries. Visitors can pick their own berries and taste the sweet, sun-ripened flavors of these delicious fruits. For our fruit and veggie lovers, you can pick your own blackberries, figs, peaches, tomatoes, cabbage, nectarines, squash, and more seasonally.

Availability of crops can change due to crowds and weather, sometimes with very short notice. Check for crop updates before going to pick your own peaches.

Dewberry Farm

Dewberry Farm is a must-visit destination during the fall season, and their flower garden is one of the highlights of the farm’s offerings! Visitors can pick their own flowers and pose for photos as they stroll through the fields.

Dewberry Farm is complete farm experience. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, from petting friendly animals and playing games to taking a spin on thrilling rides.

Another unique aspect of Dewberry Farm is that visitors are welcome to bring their own food and drinks to enjoy on the farm. Delicious fair-style food and drinks are available for purchase as well but keep in mind that Dewberry Farm is cashless.
