9 Amazing Reasons to Visit Western Belle Farm in 2024

Western Belle Farm is a genuinely adorable seasonal farm located in West, Texas. Their gorgeous property is filled to the brim with amazing things to do, see, eat, and harvest. Open in spring and fall of each year, there are seasonal activities, as well as year-round fun.

Owned by the sweet Huffman family, Western Belle Farm made its debut in Spring of 2022 and it has continued to grow in amazing ways since then. We visited just last week in Fall of 2023 to see what they had been up to lately, and loved every minute!

My kids even told me that they want to work here when they get older. We live less than two hours from Western Belle, but I think the commute might be a little too far – we can’t wait to keep coming back though!

We highly recommend working Western Belle Farm into your family fun weekend or Central Texas travel itinerary! You’ll find plenty of fun to fill several hours of your spring or fall day!

Western Belle Farm Facts

Western Belle Farm is open for several weeks each fall and several weeks each spring, weather dependent. Spring offers fun farm activities, flower fields with U-pick flowers, sunflower fields, and strawberry picking in 2024. Fall brings the same fun entertainment along with a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and sunflower fields when the rain cooperates!

They are located in West, Texas which happens to be one of our favorite small towns in Texas (stop by the Czech bakery while in town – seriously delicious kolaches!). They are an hour from Dallas, two hours from Austin, and just a few minutes north of Waco. There are plenty of fun things to do in Waco with kids, so make a weekend of it if you can!

Beautiful Flower Fields in Spring

The spring flowers in 2023 were absolutely beautiful at Western Belle! I’d expect nothing less in 2024, and you can watch their IG for updates to see what is blooming in Spring 2024.

Take photos in the flowers, swing in the sunflower fields, pose your babies, watch the longhorn stroll through the bluebonnet fields, and pick your own flowers to take a bouquet home with you.

Get Lost in the Corn Maze

We had a great time searching for the exit in their corn maze this year! The field was actually grown from Texas heat-friendly sorghum sudan instead of corn, but it made no difference!

My boys ran through the whole maze and then came back to lead me out from the middle – it is a good thing or else I might still be in there!

Tasty Pink Lemonade + Food

Before visiting Western Belle Farm, I kept hearing about their pink lemonade and how delicious it was! I was excited to taste it for myself and I was NOT disappointed! So tasty and refreshing in the 95 degree heat the day we were there, with just the right amount of sweetness!

Several other custom built buildings offer many other drinks and tasty food for purchase as well such as street tacos from the Cantina and kettle corn. If you buy a hot dog, don’t miss the condiment cow under the food tent – my kids were quite amused!

So Many Pumpkins!

With the goal of becoming a real U-pick patch next fall, Western Belle brought in thousands of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for purchase and for décor this year. Easily located right by the entrance and exit, you can grab a wagon and pick out a few for your own porch.

Dozens of Activities for the Whole Family

When I say dozens, I mean dozens! Western Belle is packed full of fun with more new and exciting options added each season. Fly across the zipline. Race up the mountain to ring the bell. Make fall angels in the corn pit. Jump on the jumpy pillow. Create huge bubbles. Take a train ride (it is fast and fun!). Hop on a hayride. Slide down the slide. Dig in the tractor sand pit. Shoot target practice with apples or go big with pumpkins. And SO.MUCH.MORE.

Everything I mentioned above is included in the admission fee, except the apple and pumpkin cannons. You can purchase those additionally if you want to participate.

My children couldn’t stop talking about how they had EVERYTHING to do. They said it felt like every farm they had ever been to rolled into one!

Annual Passport for Family Memories

Western Belle has the goal of providing a place in Central Texas where families can return year after year creating forever memories. Pick up a passport and have your photo taken each year and added to it. The passport also provides you with a discount each time you return – its a win-win!

With a one time purchase of this passport you get cheaper entry and a functional way to keep your memories from Western Belle Farm in one place.

Also in the store, you will find Western Belle merch, as well as locally sourced treats. I spotted everything from corn salsa to candles to BBQ sauce to earrings. My kids took advantage of the ice cream dots in the freezer for a cold treat.

Pick your Own Strawberries in the Spring

If you have been around here long, you know I am a HUGE fan of strawberry picking. Western Belle Farm is adding strawberry picking to their spring and early summer activities – I can’t wait! They have planted 18,000 strawberry plants in anticipation of an incredible berry-sweet spring!
